RENEGADE GOLF CELEBRATES HISTORY AND HONORS GOLF LEGEND DR. CHARLIE SIFFORD

RENEGADE GOLF CELEBRATES HISTORY AND HONORS GOLF LEGEND DR. CHARLIE SIFFORD WITH RELEASE OF NEW “MBU BLACK” SERIES GOLF BALL

[ATLANTA, September 1, 2023] - Renegade Golf, the historic black-owned golf company, is thrilled to announce the latest addition to their celebrated Mbu golf ball series - the Mbu Black. The Mbu Black will join its predecessor Mbu as the first and second ever USGA conforming golf balls produced by a black owned golf company. In partnership with the esteemed Charlie Sifford Scholarship Fund, Renegade is proud to introduce a unique product that pays tribute in many ways to the remarkable legacy of Dr. Charlie Sifford, a true trailblazer who played a
pivotal role in diversifying the game of golf.

The year 1961 holds significant historical importance for golf enthusiasts worldwide, as it marks the momentous achievement of Dr. Sifford receiving his "approved player" card, making him the first-ever black PGA Tour player. To honor this groundbreaking milestone, Renegade Golf has designed the first sleeve in each box to relic the history of ‘61” by thoughtfully replacing the traditional #1 ball plate, and the limited Sifford release will also proudly display the name "Sifford" on the side of the balls, celebrating his enduring legacy.

This collaboration between Renegade Golf and the Charlie Sifford Foundation is a perfect alignment of vision. Just like the Mbu series, which takes its name from the Nigerian word "Mbu" meaning "first of its kind," Dr. Sifford was indeed a pioneer in the golfing world, paving the way for future generations. The Sifford limited edition release encapsulates the essence of his relentless dedication and courage, inspiring countless individuals to follow their dreams
regardless of barriers. "We have had this idea in mind for such a long time and we are humbled to bring the vision to lift with the help of JLMP LLC.," said Kenneth Duncan, CEO of Renegade Golf. "Our partnership with the Charlie Sifford Scholarship Fund signifies the union of two historic 'firsts': Renegade as the first black-owned golf company making strides in the golf ball space, and Dr. Sifford as the first black man to earn a coveted PGA Tour Card. Through this collaboration, we celebrate diversity, progress, and unity in the world of golf."

In addition to commemorating Dr. Sifford's legacy, Renegade Golf is dedicated to supporting aspiring students' educational pursuits. As part of the Sifford limited release, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the new Renegade Mbu Black "61" golf balls will be directed to the Sifford Scholarship Fund. This fund aims to provide financial assistance to students, making college education more accessible and empowering the next generation to achieve their
dreams. The Renegade Mbu Black "61" golf ball is now available for purchase. The golf ball offers increased carry yardages and height compared to the Mbu. The soft 3 piece TPU cover still allows golfers to create optimized greenside spin and short game scoring. The ball makes a great gift or product to put into play at your next big tournament. Please note that only a limited number of Sifford dozens will be available, so act fast to secure your piece of golfing history. For more information, visit www.renegade.golf.
